For us, the environment is important. That’s why we participate in Stay for the Planet, a programme based on a standard recognised by the GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council), the organisation that sets and guides standards for sustainable development in the travel and tourism sector globally.
The programme is based on a sustainability rating developed by the LifeGate scientific committee, which assigns a score from 1 to 5, expressed in leaves, reflecting the environmental and social performance of hotels in the following areas of impact: Energy, Water, Waste, Purchasing, Behaviour and People.
Thanks to constant monitoring of consumption, we aim to preserve resources; we rigorously implement separate waste collection, which we ask you to contribute to by using the appropriate bins located in the common areas; we raise awareness among our guests about food waste and offer various vegetarian and vegan alternatives.
We are proud to announce that we have obtained Green Key certification, a prestigious award conferred by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which represents the leading standard of excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable management in the tourism sector.
This important achievement further demonstrates our commitment to more sustainable hospitality.
As part of its commitment to supporting the local community, the Best Western Hotel Nazionale collaborates with Talea – Educazione in Natura, a cultural association active in the fields of education, ecological literacy and creativity. Talea is dedicated to creating innovative educational projects for children, promoting events to combat educational poverty, and producing editorial content for and with children, with a focus on inclusion, sustainability, and promoting the local area.
The Best Western Hotel Nazionale proudly supports the work of the Tethys Onlus Institute, which has been engaged in scientific research and the protection of cetaceans in the Mediterranean Sea for over thirty years. Through monitoring, dissemination and environmental awareness projects, Tethys promotes greater knowledge of the marine ecosystem and the species that inhabit it, contributing concretely to the conservation of biodiversity.
Through these partnerships, the Best Western Hotel Nazionale renews its commitment to the community and the environment. Supporting organisations such as Talea and the Tethys Institute means believing in hospitality that goes beyond mere welcome: it is more attentive, conscious and deeply connected to the value of our territory.
